In Bulgaria, the name day of Деана is celebrated with traditional dishes and gatherings of family and friends. According to custom, the celebrant treats guests, and they bring gifts and flowers.

On St. Peter's Day (June 29th), fishermen and sailors have a big celebration! Peter is the patron of water, so you see many loud parties by the seaside. Interestingly, fish is traditionally eaten on this day, even though it's in the middle of summer.
